I would like to thank the people of Seaton for all the good luck and best wishes I received prior to going away to go for training for a guide dog.

I would like to thank the people of Seaton for all the good luck and best wishes I received prior to going away to go for training for a guide dog. Carri, Neil and the wonderful team at Guide Dogs matched me with a wonderful dog, a lab retriever, 20 months old, called Major.I found it very hard with the extra work that I did not know was involved and, at this time, I came away with the result I am still using a white cane, but for every person that goes through the process, a guide dog is an amazing asset to a blind person. But, at this time, it is not for me but the door has been left open to try at a later date.Once again, thank you for all the hard work and patience that Carri and her team have done to let me in to the world of guide dogs.John Barrington-RowellMead Way, Seaton
