On behalf of the Honiton and District Round Table, I would like to thank everyone who supported us throughout December during our collections. The Father Christmas float, that was out every Sunday afternoon and Wednesday evening, raised £556.00 and our collection day at the Honiton Tesco store raised £523.62.These local collections are important sums that allow the Round Table to continue to make charitable donations to local deserving causes. Over the previous year, such donations have included daily newspapers for the day care centre, support for local young men and women, Christmas hampers, a senior citizens' bingo, and contributions for local public groups. Our work goes on each year to put something back into our community within a spirit of fun and fellowship. We meet on a fortnightly basis to learn more on a range of local subjects and to help local organisations meet their goals. Anyone interested in finding out more of our motto, Fun, Friendship and Fundraising, should visit www.honitonroundtable.org.uk for more details.Julian OhlsenHoniton and District Round Table
