THE National Memorial Arboretum is home to the striking Armed Forces Memorial.

Spread over 150 acres, it is situated near Lichfield and comprises 50,000 trees and memorials.

Supported by The Royal British Legion, it honours the fallen, recognises sacrifice and fosters pride in the country.

The arboretum recently launched an 8m appeal, of which Prince William is the patron.

The Baton charity will seek to increase awareness about the arboretum and local trips from Honiton are being planned.
