THE owners of The Carlton Inn and Top Bar say the High Street venue will re-open.

THE owners of The Carlton Inn and Top Bar say the High Street venue will re-open.Enterprise Inns, which owns the town centre premises, has confirmed the business is currently closed.A spokeswoman told the Herald yesterday (Tuesday): "It is closed, but there is no truth in the rumour that it will not be re-opening."Our intention is to re-open The Carlton Inn at the earliest opportunity."Enterprise Inns is urging anybody interested in running the business to get in touch."We are looking to recruit a suitable licensee and any interested parties are asked to contact our recruitment team on 0800 9530072," the spokeswoman added. Enterprise Inns is keen to work with potential licensees in a bid to ensure the pub is not closed for too long.Meanwhile, Punch Taverns, which owns a number of public houses in Honiton, is hopeful of re-opening another closed pub in the town centre.See page 5 for full story.
