SEATON police have reported nine cases of sheep escaping from their fields in one week.
Acting sergeant Matt Sinker said: "To have sheep running around isn't that unusual but to have nine incidents in one week is on the high side.
"We would urge farmers and landowners to check the conditions of their fences and hedges to prevent their animals escaping and a potentially dangerous situation occurring on the roads.
