THE THOMAS Whitty House exhibition, which charts the history of world famous Axminster carpet, is now open and will be running until the end of September.

THE THOMAS Whitty House exhibition, which charts the history of world famous Axminster carpet, is now open and will be running until the end of September.A spokesman for the exhibition said: "It's going very well. "We've had more visitors than expected - so far, it's great."The interest is definitely out there, but we'd love to see more people."The opening hours are currently Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from noon to 4pm, and Saturday from 10am to noon. Opening hours could be extended, if more volunteers come forward.Anyone interested in volunteering can contact the secretary, Rachel Pike, on (01297) 639808.
