Velda (Griffin) explains old photograph
Two young boys, featured in a picture taken outside Hartnell’s Star Hotel, Honiton, have been named as Clive and Tom Hartnell. The old picture was printed in last week’s Midweek Herald.
Both are still alive; one lives near Brighton and the other in Swindon.
“Their father was my dad’s cousin and he was the landlord in the middle to the end of the Twenties,” said Velda Langford (nee Griffin), of Australia.
The Griffin family owned an historically famous dairy in New Street, Honiton.
