I have seen the Grove car park in some litter laden states, but this Saturday was the most disgusting I have ever seen to date. I had to be careful where to drive - there was so much broken glass. Bottles rolling around, cans, leaflets advertising something like a rave, take-away food wrappers and then I saw a condom as I tried not to step on the broken glass. When we see headlines in the tabloids telling us of 'Woman fined for dropping sweet wrapper' how can this deliberate littering be allowed to go unchecked? Some of the Co-op staff were outside picking up bottles and the usual cleaning man had his trolley full, but surely it is the responsibility of event promoters? J A Blanch Roman Way Seaton
