Nine offences in one month and four involve the theft of fuel.
THEFTS from motor vehicles accounted for the most recorded crimes in Honiton during August, police have told town councillors.
Pc Ian Atyeo said nine cases had been recorded, with four of them involving the theft of fuel from vehicles.
In total, 67 offences were recorded during the month - compared to 84 in the same period last year.
