Your lead comment "Should church vandals go to hell?" (letters, March 11). The Christian gospel clearly states that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. One Timothy 1vs 15.It would be far better for those who go into church buildings not to destroy things, but to gain a clear understanding of who God is and how to be friends with him. Most people will agree that we are living on a planet. Where the debate comes in is how the earth came into being. There are only two choices: either the world was made by God, as the opening verse of Genesis states, which is intelligent design, or the earth came into being by cosmic accident, which is Evolution. Both are belief sytems - one is true one is false. The evidence is overwhelming for intelligent design. The Bible says we are without excuse because we know God exists through what we see around us. Romans 1vs 20. The person who claims to be an Atheist is usually an Evolutionist, that is their religion, it not scientifically proven but is speculative only. Their viewpoint will be "First there was nothing and then it exploded".All the worst things that we see from day to day come from a rejection of God, including church vandalism. Until our leaders wake up and point the people back to the true living God, we can expect things to get worse.Geoff Cottam2 HillsidePayhembury
