Axminster police issue a warning to residents to secure their sheds and garages

Axminster police are urging residents to secure their outbuildings after another burglary.

A garage and shed at a property in Rocombe, Uplyme, were broken into some time between 10am on Sunday, September 6, and 1pm on Thursday, September 10

The intruders forced the garage door open by damaging the locking system and the padlock to the shed was also forced. Amongst the items stolen was a strimmer, leaf blower, power washer, a mini generator and various hand and power tools.

PCSO Andry Trott said: “Would residents please be vigilant. Check outbuildings on a regular basis for any signs of interference. Report any suspicious activity or vehicles in your local area promptly to the police.”

Anyone with information about the latest break-in is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference 63332/15.
