Thieves waste energy stealing used batteries

SIXTY used batteries worth £200 were stolen from the recycling centre in Wilmington.

SIXTY used batteries worth £200 were stolen from the recycling centre in Wilmington.The centre at Sutton Barton was broken into overnight on August 20 and police are appealing for witnesses.A police spokesman said: "The amount of effort required to carry out such a job is probably not proportionate to the amount of money made from it."Anyone with further information should call 08452 777444 or crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
