Thought for the Week

Thought for the week.

Thought for the week.

Bad weather can isolate people.

The bad weather forecast for this week, possibly setting in for the next few weeks, means many people are quite concerned as to how they will meet neighbours, get to shops, see friends and do all the things they need to do if we have too much snow or ice.

In such weather it is easy to become isolated, feeling lonely and unable to keep up friendships and finding ourselves just wanting someone to talk to.

Loneliness is one of the worst feelings many of us experience. The Bible says we were made for community and friendship. It’s easy to allow other things, such as work, get in the way of friends and family, yet no one on their death bed ever said ‘I wish I’d worked more’.

Remember and value the people in your lives – because our relationships are the most precious things we have.
