Thought for the Week

Thanks to the wonders of the internet, I recently managed to download a live concert, which is identical to one I attended in London in 1990 – you’ll have to ask me what it was, I only have a certain amount of space here! Listening to that music again, memories flood back of the feelings and experiences I went through in London as a student.

It’s fun, but quite overwhelming, to go back - even if only in memory.

Memories are like that; it’s easy to get lost in them, to wish for things to be how they were, or to feel nostalgic for a time gone by.

We can’t live in our memories, though - they help make us what we are, but they shouldn’t control us and, if we stay there, we lose out on the moment.

God gives us this day, make the most of it.
