I heard about the soggy August East Devon has had and, now there’s a warmer spell, there are a few people who’ve said to me ‘The sun shines on the righteous’ - as if I might have some part in the state of the weather.
They’re only joking obviously, though it’s nice to be referred to as righteous!
Actually, the full quote of Jesus’ words from the Bible is: “For he (God) makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”
