THREE charity boxes were stolen from Lyme Fish Bar in Coombe Street, Lyme Regis.

A pane of glass was smashed in a door to gain access. PC Martin Orchard said: "PCSOs have attended several commercial premises around the town advising them to be vigilant and especially careful when leaving charity boxes in their premises overnight.

"Warnings have been put out regularly via radio-link for members of shop staff to be aware of recent burlaries."

The incident is believed to have taken place overnight from 10pm on January 14 to 10.30am on January 15. Anyone with any information should contact PC 101 Halton at Lyme Regis police station on 01305 222 222.
