Three hospitalised after collision near Axminster

Three people were taken to hospital following an overnight road traffic collision near Axminster.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident at Weycroft Bridge, Weycroft, at 1.17am on Saturday, September 9, with reports of people trapped inside a vehicle.

On arrival at the incident, which police and ambulance crews also attended, crews confirmed nobody was physically trapped.

A fire service spokesperson said two males and one female were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Fire crews used small tools, an environment agency pack and a hose reel to make the scene safe.
