Axminster Rotary Club has a new president.
John Foulkes was handed the club’s regalia from the outgoing president, Chris Painton.
Mr Foulkes is Devon born and educated. After gaining a First Class degree from Exeter University, as well as being a London University post graduate, he pursued a career in research and teaching. Now retired and living in Smallridge, he is married to Barbara with two children and three grandsons.
At the same meeting, three Rotarians, Nick Smy, Chris Painton, and Barrie Castle, received Paul Harris Fellowship Awards - the highest accolade the Rotary movement can bestow on its members in recognition of the services they have given.
