Hydraulic equipment used to release passengers.
Three people have been taken to hospital following a collision involving eight vehicles.
The incident, covering both carriageways of the A30, occurred at 2pm today (Friday), between Daisymount and Honiton.
Firefighters had to use hydraulic equipment to release the people before making the vehicles and surrounding area safe.
Police also attended the scene.
