Crews attended the three vehicle incident on the A35, near Loughwood Fram, at around 4.30pm.
A Devon and Cornwall Constabulary spokesperson said: "One fire appliance from Axminster was sent to a report of a road traffic collision at the above location. The collision involved three vehicles. The fire crew made the vehicles safe using small tools and one hose reel. Police were also in attendance.
