A Lion for many years, Mr Hibbert has been president of the club on three occasions and has served the organisation in many other capacities.Presenting him with his award, Mrs Wood said: "This gentleman is a true Lion in every sense of the word and it gives me great pleasure to be asked to award Ralph the Melvin Jones Fellowship, richly deserved."Ralph took several minutes to reply and it was a unanimous verdict among the 95 Lions in attendance that it was the first time they had seen him speechless.
