Ringing endorsement for ARC’s new fund raising store in Chard Road

AN Axminster-based charity opened its first high street store today (Thursday) – with a ringing endorsement from town crier Nick Goodwin.

The bereavement counselling service ARC has set up shop in Chard Road where it hopes to give its fund raising efforts a major boost.

But in the meantime manager Helen FitzGerald says they need help from the community to get the new store fully operational.

They are urgently looking for quality donations, volunteers to set up and man the shop, offers of help with the supply of shop fittings and a carpet fitter.

Anyone who can help is asked to call Mrs FitzGerald on 01297 35986 or e mail her on helenmary52@gmail.com

* ARC is a community led charity fully integrated to Axminster Medical Practice dedicated to enhance support and recovery through counselling. It was set up by counsellor and psychotherapist Catherine Davies in 2007 and its chairman is local GP Dr Barry McKenna.
