Tractor ‘severely damaged’ in blaze near Honiton

The incident happened near Dumpdon Hill on Wednesday.

A tractor has been severely damaged in a blaze near Honiton.

Crews from the town and Ottery St Mary attended the scene, in Luppitt yesterday (Wednesday) and found the vehicle well alight.

They used breathing apparatus and an extended hose reel jet to extinguish blaze.

A spokesman said: “The tractor was severely damaged by fire in the middle of a field.”

The blaze broke out near Dumpdon Hill shortly before 5pm.
