Local people are being invited to get involved in a programme of events. A charter signing, dance and visit to Allhallows Museum, in Honiton, are among the events planned.
The erection of new signs denoting the twinning arrangement can now be seen at the entrances to Hemyock.
Partnership is at the heart of UCTA and Culmstock Parish Council has recently endorsed the organisation and will participate in the formal twinning arrangements.
UCTA is also offering Boules, that quintessentially French game, as a form of spring exercise.
