Election set to go ahead next month
Seaton is going to the polls to elect a new town councillor.
By the time nominations closed at noon today (Friday) two candidates had come forward to fight for the seat left vacant by the resignation of vice-chairman Ray Morgan.
They are John Barrington-Rowell, of Valley View Close, and Sharon Rose Bruce, of Townsend Avenue. They were proposed by Barbara Dearden-Potterand Ann Kelf respectively.
If neither withdraws by next Wednesday’s noon deadline then an election will take place on Thursday November 15, with polling stations open from 7am to 10pm.
