Electors will go to the polls on Thursday, August 17

Two candidates will contest the vacanta seat on Lyme Regis Town Council.

Patrick Ridley, of Charmouth Court, and Jo Robinson, of Queens Court, have been nominated for election to the local authority, with polling day on Thursday, August 17.

For this election, Woodmead Halls will be the only polling station.

West Dorset District Council is considering changing to one polling station permanently in Lyme Regis and hopes this election will provide an opportunity to obtain feedback from electors for future elections.

The election follows the resignation of Cllr Daryl Turner – who remains the town’s county councillor.
