Order bans teen from Allhallows Playing Field.

A Honiton teenager has been handed a two-year antisocial behaviour order.

Freddy Jones, of Northcote Lane, was given the order during a hearing last Friday at North and East Devon Magistrates’ Court in Exeter. It will run until September 13, 2015.

As part of the terms of the order, the 17-year-old is banned from Allhallows Playing Field in School Lane without prior written permission from the authorities.

He is also prohibited from being in possession of alcohol in an open container, bottle, can or drinking vessel in any public place except for licensed premises.

Jones must not use or encourage others to use foul, abusive, insulting, offensive, threatening or intimidating language or behaviour in any public place.

And he must not associate with named individuals stipulated in the terms of the ASBO.

Speaking after the hearing, Sergeant Jim Humphrey from Honiton neighbourhood policing team said: “This is an example of how we deal with antisocial behaviour with the support of the Honiton community.

“What this shows is that we won’t tolerate antisocial behaviour and that we will use every tool at our disposal to deal with those who impact on other people’s lives.

“This is just one of many tools we have at our disposal.”
