THE Herald has now lost count of the number of UFO sightings reported in the Honiton area over the past week.
Dozens of calls have been taken by our newsdesk. Most of them relate to nine orange lights seen in the sky over St Cyres Hill at around 10.30pm last Saturday.
Experts claim they could be Chinese lanterns.
Pensioner Jin Kendall saw the lights from his bedroom window.
He said: "I'm so pleased I'm not the only one to have seen them.
"I have seen them before in Honiton, many years ago.
"Of course, I didn't tell anybody. I didn't think they would believe me.
"On the previous occasion, Mr Kendall, 87, said he saw a UFO over Gittisham Common.
What do you think?
Are Chinese lanterns to blame for a sudden rise in the number of reported UFO sightings?
