They definitely are according to Crystal Scott, who runs Ark Animal Rescue Centre in Wiggaton, where the dogs were dropped off two weeks ago.
Branagan and Spitfire, dubbed as the "ugly sisters" by Crystal, are now staying with foster owners in Feniton.
Crystal said: "They are the ugliest couple of dogs I have ever seen. They have got nice personalities but they are just so ugly."
Both seven, they are crosses between Labradors and English Bull Terriers and were taken to the rescue centre after their owner decided he couldn't look after them anymore.
Crystal added: "I'm looking for a couple or a single man to adopt them. They would need someone quite strong as they are strong dogs, preferably in a rural area."
