Axmouth Harbourmaster’s raft returned after drifting out to sea

EMERGENCY services were scrambled yesterday afternoon (Sunday) when a large unmanned raft was seen drifting out to sea some 500 yards off Seaton.

Beer Coastguard unit and Sidmouth lifeboat went to the scene and the rescue boat towed the craft back to shore.

The vessel was later found to belong to Axmouth Harbourmaster.
