UPDATE: Arson attack was on family home

AN arson attack being investigated by police in Honiton was started in the porch of a family home. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service says it responded to an emergency call shortly after 2am yesterday.

AN arson attack being investigated by police in Honiton was started in the porch of a family home.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service says it responded to an emergency call shortly after 2am yesterday.

Two appliances from Honiton and one appliance from Ottery St Mary were sent to the property, in all Saints Court.

A fire service spokesman said: "On arrival, the crews found a fire in the ground floor porch.

"four breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet were used to extinguish the fire.
