Christopher Brown, 27, of Exeter, has appeared in court charged with assaulting a doorman in Honiton.
He is alleged to have carried out the assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm at The Orange Tree pub in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Brown appeared at Central Devon Magistrates’ Court in Exeter yesterday (Monday) where he was bailed to appear at Exeter Crown Court on January 17.
The police investigation into the alleged assault is still ongoing and detectives are appealing for witnesses to call them on 101, quoting reference KH/12/5.
