POLICE have confirmed that the on-going incident at Axminster has involved a vehicle hitting a parked car in the South Street/Musbury Road area near the old cattle market.
A spokesman said the accident might have resulted from one of those involved suffering “a medical episode”. The extent of the casualties is as yet unknown.
Paul Apsey, manager of Complete Meats in South Street, said the accident had happened slightly further down the road from them, along the one-way system.
He said at about 1.30pm they had heard a big crash then the emergency services started to arrive. He said one car had apparently been pushed into a wall. He had no idea the extent of anyone’s injuries.
The Midweek Herald is on the scene, with updates to follow.
