THANKS to your generosity, our Tash's Trip appeal total currently stands at £2,670.25.The figure, calculated on Monday, does not include proceeds from a non-uniform day, held at All Saints Primary School last Friday, nor a fund-raising car wash, organised by Axminster Town Football Club's under 10s team. The car wash and a raffle is expected to add a further £236 to the amount raised so far. The Herald aims to collect £4,000 to send cancer victim Tash Gould (with one adult) on a holiday of a lifetime to Australia.During her stay in Queensland, Tash will visit Australia Zoo, made famous by the late wildlife expert Steve Irwin.Donations received in the past week include £104.60 from Dalwood Primary School, £18.65 from Kilmington Primary School and a £200 donation from Axminster and District Lions Club.A number of private donations have also been received and the Herald would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have contributed to the appeal so far.Our sponsored tandem sky dive in aid of Tash's Trip will take place at Dunkeswell on October 31. Herald reporter Angela Brennan will be among those taking part.SkyDive UK has kindly agreed to discount training and jump fees by £25 per person, after the Herald reported in error that the cost of taking part would be £110 each. In fact, the fee was £225. The Herald apologises for this error and thanks SkyDive UK for reducing the cost to £200 each.
