A Chirtsian approach to “living lightly”
SUSTAINABLE living is the subject of a major talk and open debate at Uplyme Village Hall next Thursday (November 25).
Speaker Ruth Valerio will discuss “living lightly”, addressing how we choose to live in the light of social and environmental changes here and abroad.
Author of “L is for Lifestyle” and a well respected Christian pragmatist and conference speaker, she will offer her audience the chance to join in the discussion during the evening, which gets under way at 7.30pm.
The event is being organised by the local church and its former Rector Jeremy White.
He said: “It is about what we can do practically to live more sustainably with a lower carbon footprint - a down to earth and realistic approach to what we can do to make a difference for our world today.”
Admission is free but there will be a retiring collection to cover the speaker’s expenses with any excess going to Christian environmental charity AROCHA.
