Uplyme Pre-school tots take a trip to the woods to see the blooms

Children from Uplyme Pre-school took a trip to see the bluebells in Prescott Pinetum on Friday (April 26).

Shortly after setting off across the fields the rain came down – but it did not deter the 22 youngsters from continuing their walk to the woods.

And their reward was to see a magnificent carpet of blue – with some whitebells also amongst the blooms.

The children were able to explore the area and enjoy a picnic before returning to their base at village hall.

During this half term the local 'B Sharp' music group will be visiting to sing with the children and share a variety of musical instruments.

The sessions are designed to help the children improve their listening skills and confidence - as well as encouraging them to appreciate various styles of music.
