An urgent appeal has gone out for the return of a motorbike, stolen from the drive of a home in Honiton.

The TGB Hawk 303R was taken from private property in Orchard Way in the early hours of today (Thursday).

It is of great sentimental value to its owner, 26-year-old Luke Dolby, who was given it as a present by his grandfather, Joe Gilson, just before he died.

Luke is the grandson of tireless Honiton charity worker Carol Gilson, who founded the Joe Gilson Mobility Scheme in memory of her late husband.

Carol says Luke is “devastated” by the theft and that she is prepared to pay a reward “on recovery of the motorbike”.

The bike is a limited edition version of the Hawk and is described by Luke as “one of a kind”.

It is thought to be worth in the region of £1,600.

It is black, with orange wheels and orange detail in its paintwork.

The bike should be returned to Orchard Way or Honiton Police Station.

Anybody with information about the theft is urged to call police on 101.
