VIBRANT, colourful artwork crafted by GCSE and A-level students at Honiton Community College was on public display last week as the college's art department opened its doors for a summer exhibition. The Royal Academy influenced hanging styles, so that walls were filled with art. Exhibition organisers said the style was designed to encourage visitors to "slow down and seek out what appeals to them".Work displayed included a wide range of drawing, painting, mixed media and 3D outcomes. A-level artists staged their own show in the college's sixth form common room, displaying their canvasses on easels. Visitors commented on the high level of skill and imagination demonstrated by students.
