Event held in Honiton to raise money for Hospiscare.

Roughly 100 people visited an open garden showing in aid of local cancer charity Hospiscare.

Brian and Jill Godfrey, who own Manna House in Honiton, opened their doors to the public for the cause.

Jill said: “It was a lovely day and glorious conditions to host an open garden showing.

We had lots of people walking around the gardens with their parasols.”

The event raised £279 for Hospiscare, which provides high-quality care and dedicated support to people who are terminally ill, free of charge.

“The charity has supported Brian, and does an awful lot for the community,” Jill said.

“They do so much for us and we wanted to do something back.”
