The annual sponsored walk for Christian Aid, supported by nine churches and groups, was held on Saturday, September 27, starting from the United Reformed Church Hall, in Seaton, with a choice of three linked routes. There were 30 names on the list, including two mobility scooter riders and three runners. In addition, there were about 20 young people, who walked with their leaders at a later date. While the walk was in progress the church hall was open to visitors, with Christian Aid displays, Fairtrade goods, coffee and cakes.I am pleased to announce that the collection is expected to reach £1,954 and to say a big "thank you" on behalf of Christian Aid to the dedicated walkers and the hundreds of sponsors who have rallied round us again in their usual, generous way.The money raised will help to support the many development projects operated by Christian Aid in over 50 countries worldwide for the benefit of the poorest communities.Arthur Wright Walk organiserPen TirionTownsend Avenue Seaton
