Eighteen members of Seaton, Beer and District Branch of the RNLI took part in their 36th annual fund raising trek

Eighteen people and a dog went walkies in East Devon to raise �800 for the lifeboats.

Members of the Seaton, Beer and District Branch of the RNLI took part in their 36th annual fund raising walk.

Accompanied by Sam, the Jack Russell, they followed country lanes and public footpaths from Money Acre Cross, on the Farway Common Road, to Colyton and Colyford.

The trekkers then dispersed to walk on to either Seaton or Beer. Regulars Harry Moore, of Beer, and Steve Atkins, of Seaton, made the trip back to Beer in under three hours.

The next branch event is a Christmas quiz night on Saturday December 1 at Beer Social Club. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Teams of four are invited to take part and the fee is �1.50 per person. A certificate and prize will be presented to the winning team.
