WEST Dorset District Council is searching for someone to take on a watchdog role on its Standards Committee.The committee is responsible for ensuring high standards of conduct and ethics are maintained at district, town and parish councils.Leader of WDDC Robert Gould said: "This is a very important role and we are keen to find a politically independent person who is interested in local government."The work is voluntary but a subsistence allowance and travel expenses will be paid.
