Lyme Regis RNLI crew members receive high-tech gloves to help them get to grips with the cold snap
Memebrs of Lyme Reis lifeboat crew have received a handy gift to help keep them warm.
Boylo’s Watersports, on Marine Parade, and O’Neill Wetsuits teamed up to present the RNLI volunteers with a complete set of new, high-tech neoprene gloves.
They were presented yesterday (Sunday) by Dee Caldwell, European Sales Director of O’Neill.
Murray Saunders, of Boylo’s, who is also a crew member, said: “Working in the cold is one thing, but when you add water to the equation you quickly lose feeling in your hands.
“With lifeboat rescues typically lasting over an hour it’s important that tasks aren’t inhibited by cold, clumsy fingers.
“This generous donation of special gloves will help the crew, adding to their performance and comfort in difficult conditions.”
