South West Water says repairs should be completed by 8pm tonight (Thursday).

Residents in Upottery could see their water pressure fluctuate this evening because of a burst pipe.

South West Water says the pipe was damaged by a third party, and repairs are being carried out by engineers.

The incident happened in the EX14 9QH area of the village.

A company spokesman said: “We are also continuing to work hard to keep customers in supply.

“However some customers may experience fluctuations in pressure whilst we carry out the repair.

“We anticipate the main to be repaired and all customers supplies to be fully restored by 8pm.

“We would like to thank you for your continued patience and apologise for any incontinence caused.”
