Thought for the week
There are certain facts – often spellings and names – that seem to refuse to lodge in my brain.
For instance, I’ve been Vicar of (part of) the Umborne valley for some years now, but still have to look up the spelling of Umborne every time I write it down.
I’ve just ‘Googled’ it to make sure, even though I visit their excellent web site a couple of times a week and have visited the valley and it’s residents often!
Likewise, there are some people I know and even have known for years and I forget their or their spouses name, things won’t stick.
It’s like a blind spot. We all have blind spots, things or people that we almost refuse to see, but part of Christian living is to open your eyes and heart to the unseen and ask God to help you see and k
