When will we get crossing?

My somewhat rhetorical question is this: How much longer are the residents of east Honiton going to be tantalised by SW Highways doing what seems to be anything and everything but putting in a pedestrian crossing?

We've got dropped curbs, raised curbs, new curb stones, new tarmac on pavements, new road signs, none of which is vitally needed, but what about our pedestrian crossing?

If they don't plan to do the crossing, may I respectfully ask you to consider putting a Freedom of Information Act request, asking how much all that has been done has cost and how that compares with the cost of installing a pedestrian crossing.

EDITOR'S NOTE: A pedestrian crossing is to be installed in Monkton Road, Honiton, in the near future.
