Why Honiton is still a good choice for new business ventures
AS at least three new businesses prepare to open in Honiton, the Herald asked shop owner Sarah Roche why she chose to expand to the town during a recession.
AS at least three new businesses prepare to open in Honiton, the Herald asked shop owner Sarah Roche why she chose to expand to the town during a recession.
Sarah owns classic clothing store Zeebra, which opened in High Street just four weeks ago.
"There were a couple of reasons," she said.
"It is a market town, and I like market towns.
"Honiton has so many independent shops; it's got one of the highest proportions of independents in East Devon."
Convenience was another reason for Sarah's choice.

She said: "I've got another shop in Exmouth and live in Sidmouth, so Honiton is convenient.
"But, above all, Honiton is such a pleasant town.
