Shopping locally - I am completely in favour of this. However, it would appear that all the shops in Honiton have decided their target markets are the retired or unemployed. I would love to buy all my food in the independent shops in town (purely because it's better quality than supermarket food) but, unfortunately, when I get home from work at 6pm they are all shut. So I grudgingly buy everything from Tesco. If the town centre traders are serious about surviving the competition posed by corporate giants and the internet then they must at least be open when people with jobs (and money!) can go shopping! Even if it's just until 7pm ,two nights a week. Try it! Until you do, stop asking me to shop locally, because I can't. T ThornburnButtery CloseHoniton
