STOCKLAND women's Institute held its annual resolution meeting and a mini-show last week.The resolution 'SOS for the Honey Bees' was unanimously agreed due to the group's growing concern at the drastic fall in the bee population across the country. The the mini craft show followed with talents displayed from flower arranging to cookery. Secretary Jacqueline Jones said judging was a difficult task. She said: "Delicate flower arrange-ments and jolly tea cosies vied with tempting foods and delightful paintings."Judging was no easy task but the winners were presented with silver cups and in the true spirit of the WI were warmly congratulated by everyone."And long-time member Eva Goodriff, who will be 80 later this month, was presented with a birthday bouquet, cake and a chocolate champagne bottle.
