AN ELDERLY Seaton widow had her purse containing £130 stolen from the Co-op on Friday morning.

AN ELDERLY Seaton widow had her purse containing £130 stolen from the Co-op on Friday morning.Fellow committee members at the Cancer Research UK Christmas bazaar had a 'whip-round' and collected £67 for her. Paula Vickers, from the charity, said that, despite being distressed and shaken, the widow still helped set up stalls on the evening for the sale and attended the following day.She said: "As the money was for her grand and great-grandchildren's Christmas presents, we were all so pleased to be able to help her in this way."Anyone with information about the incident should contact the police on 08452 777444, quoting crime reference KN/08/677.
